Getting started
How to make an enquiry and what information is useful at the outset.
How do I get started with LearnThrive Tuition?

See how LearnThrive worksIs the initial consultation free?
Yes. The website offers a free initial consultation so that you can describe the support you are looking for and discuss what may be appropriate before making any tuition arrangements.
Start a free consultation enquiryWhat should I include in an enquiry?

Discuss the learner’s needsSpecial educational needs
How LearnThrive's tuition can be adapted for learners with additional needs. LearnThrive is a tuition service and does not provide specialist diagnostic or therapeutic support.
Does LearnThrive support learners with special educational needs?
Yes. LearnThrive’s personalised approach means that tuition can be adapted to support learners with additional needs. The focus remains on building understanding and confidence at a pace that suits the individual learner.
Discuss the learner’s needsHow are lessons adapted for learners with additional needs?
Lessons can be adjusted in a number of ways, including pacing, the use of visual aids and breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps. The aim is to present material in a way that works for the individual learner and supports their progress.
Does the learner need a formal diagnosis to receive support?
No. A formal diagnosis is not required. LearnThrive aims to tailor tuition to every student, whether or not they have a diagnosed condition. If you feel the learner would benefit from an adapted approach, that can be discussed during the initial consultation.
Start a free consultation enquiryCan parents share information about the learner's needs before lessons begin?
Yes, and it is highly recommended. When making an enquiry, parents are encouraged to share any details about the learner’s needs, what works well for them and any support already in place. This helps ensure that tuition is informed and adapted from the very first lesson.
Make an enquiryCan the approach change if something is not working?
Yes. Adaptations are not fixed. If a particular strategy is not helping the learner, the approach can be adjusted. The aim is to find what works best for the individual, and that may develop over time as their needs and confidence change.
Working together
How tuition can stay connected to the learner’s priorities and family communication.
Can tuition support current schoolwork or exam preparation?
Yes. Lessons can remain connected to current schoolwork, curriculum content and relevant assessments. The exact focus depends on the learner’s stage, present understanding and academic priorities.
Can the lesson focus change over time?
Yes. Personalised tuition is intended to respond as needs change. A learner may need to revisit a foundation, spend longer on a difficult topic or move towards more exam-focused practice at a later point.
Does LearnThrive guarantee a particular grade or result?
No particular grade or result is guaranteed on this website. LearnThrive’s published focus is on clearer understanding, growing confidence, purposeful practice and stronger independent learning habits.

Additional providers must be added to the record when services such as website hosting, payments, accounting, scheduling or other management systems are introduced.

Where LearnThrive relies on legitimate interests, those interests must be balanced against the rights and interests of the individual, with particular care where children are involved.
Marketing communications should only be sent where the appropriate consent or another lawful basis under applicable electronic-marketing rules exists.

Health information and some SEND-related information may constitute particularly sensitive personal information.
LearnThrive should not request unnecessary medical or SEND details through a general enquiry form.
Where such information is genuinely required to adapt tuition or support a learner appropriately, LearnThrive should:
- collect only what is necessary
- explain why the information is needed
- restrict access
- identify the appropriate legal basis for processing it
- use a more controlled method of collection where appropriate
Children's privacy must receive particular consideration when new digital services or learner-facing systems are introduced.

Tuition prices should be communicated clearly to the parent or guardian before tuition begins.
A tuition arrangement is normally formed once:

Invoices may be issued in advance, including on a monthly basis where appropriate.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment should be made by the stated invoice due date.

Where LearnThrive or the assigned tutor cannot provide the agreed lesson, the parent should normally be offered one of the following:
- a rearranged lesson
- an appropriate account credit
- a refund for the affected lesson
What happens if a student is late?
A lesson will normally still finish at its scheduled end time where a student joins late.
If LearnThrive or the tutor causes a material delay, the affected time should normally be made up or credited appropriately.
Can tuition be ended?
Ongoing tuition may normally be ended by either party with 7 days' written notice, unless different arrangements have been expressly agreed.
Any refund relating to prepaid but unused tuition should take into account amounts legitimately due to LearnThrive.

If a parent asks LearnThrive to begin providing tuition during that period, the appropriate statutory acknowledgement and consent process should be followed.

- the agreed attribution
- evidence of permission
- whether a student or child could be identifiable
- any later request to withdraw permission
Where a child could reasonably be identified, appropriate parent or guardian permission should be obtained.
Testimonials must not be edited in a way that materially changes what the person originally said.
LearnThrive should also avoid presenting testimonials as evidence of guaranteed or universal academic results.
Suggested testimonial permission wording:
I confirm that this testimonial reflects my genuine experience with LearnThrive Tuition Ltd and give LearnThrive permission to publish the approved wording on its website and marketing channels using the attribution shown to me. I understand that I can ask LearnThrive to stop future use by contacting info@learnthrivetuition.co.uk.
